Despite not fighting, and actually approaching his max for being out, Jon Jones returned to the No. 1 spot in the latest UFC pound-for-pound rankings.
Jones, who last competed a year ago when he defeated Daniel Cormier, overtook Demetrious Johnson. Robbie Lawler, Rafael dos Anjos and Holly Holm all moved up in the overall rankings.
There was plenty of change in the heavyweight Top-15, as Stipe Miocic climbed to No. 2 following his win over Andrei Arlovski, who is now tied for third with Alistair Overeem.
Ben Rothwell and Jared Rosholt moved up to seventh and 12th, while Junior dos Santos, Josh Barnett and Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva each fell.
Nate Diaz is now ranked seventh at lightweight, while Evan Dunham and Brian Ortega debuted at 155 and 145 pounds.
Fresh off his first fight in over two years, Michael McDonald climbed ahead of Thomas Almeida and Bryan Caraway and into sixth at bantamweight.
