Fresh off a self-imposed Twitter hiatus, UFC light heavweight champion Jon Jones was all over the social media scene Saturday night during UFC on FOX 14.
As he watched his next challenger emerge in the main event, “Bones” commented on a number of items.
He is now expected to face Anthony Johnson, who finished Alexander Gustafsson in the first round, sometime in 2015.
“Man this fights going to be awesome,” Jones posted. “I feel great about it.”
While Jones showed “Rumble” respect, he took a couple of shots at a former “rival” in Phil Davis. Davis lost to Ryan Bader via split decision on the card.
“Wonderful?” Jones asked. “I think it’s time for a new nickname.”
Jones also stepped into the role of matchmaker, mentioning as possible 205-pound bout between former challenger Gustafsson and Daniel Cormier.
